All jazz combo arrangements are written for 3 saxes (alto, tenor, bari), 2 trumpets, trombone, guitar, piano, bass, and drums, unless otherwise noted. They are usually designed to be used with as few as two or three front line, as indicated on the title page of each arrangement. The arrangements with the “Little Big Band Series” logo on the title page were not specifically designed to be used with a reduced line-up. Some arrangements may require woodwind doubles, but parts have usually been included for sax only if doubles are not available. Trumpet parts may sometimes include flugelhorns and all brass players will require mutes from time to time.
